We've just launched another site! We've been working with the folks at Northeast Eye Center, a group of ophthalmologists with offices in two locations - Troy, NY and Latham, NY. Northeast Eye Center performs a litany of services, including Neuro-ophthalmology, Pediatric Ophthalmology, and Cataract Surgery. The site was built from the ground up, and includes a form that patients can use to schedule their next appointment. We wish NEEC the best of luck!

Recently, a friend of Fieldstone Solutions launched a site called Hawthorne Threads. Using Ruby on Rails, he built an online fabric store with a unique twist - color matching. Click on any design, and at the bottom of the page, you'll see a list of the most popular colors in that pattern. By clicking on any of those colors, you search the site for other designs that contain that color.
To get this working was no small feat - but the added feature is new in the world of online fabric shopping. Hopefully, this innovation is able to set them apart from their big .com competition. Small, Innovative features like this can make or break a business. While the fabric supplier's core competency is not website design and online marketing, it helps to make an investment that can give you a leg up on the competition.

One of the most useful sites I've found out there for doing SEO work is Backlink Watch. When you're managing a site, it's important to know what links you have out there, what is the quality of those links, and how many other outbound links exist on the same page. You would think that Google would provide you with that answer - but that is one area where they fall short. Backlink watch is simple - put in the URL you're interested in, and it will generate (Free of Charge!) a simple report with all the relevant facts. Who could ask for anything more?

There's a great, free resource that is available to anyone who's getting started creating a website. It's called the Online Equalizer, and serves as a great guide for all things web and blog related. It covers content and SEO basics, along with the ins-and-outs of more advanced topics like article marketing and affiliate marketing. Highly Recommended for the beginner, and a good resource for anyone with experience.

One of our first clients is a law firm located in the the capital region of New York State. Louridas Law Firm, on the web at www.louridaslawfirm.com, handles traffic tickets, speeding tickets, DUI, DWI, and DWAI in New York State.

With design help of our partners at Inky Squid Design, Fieldstone Solutions created the site, managed the hosting and email setup, and set up an effective Pay-Per-Click(PPC) advertising campaign that continues to bring in leads.
